In order to uncover the messages different shades of lipstick send to our dates, we spoke with Professor Karen Pine, a notable fashion psychologist and author of Mind What You Wear, The Psychology of Fashion.

Pine applied her knowledge about color theory to some of the most popular shades of lipstick around the world.
