Mostly As: Platinum. You are ready and willing to prove that blondes really do have more fun. Not just anyone can take on this white-hot hue, and it looks like you are the woman for the job. To keep your locks in tact and out of the not-so-cute brassy territory, make sure to invest in a color-retaining shampoo. And remember, upkeep is key to keeping this bright blond in tact. “I always tell my clients that the more dramatic the look, or the further they travel from their natural color, the greater the upkeep,” says Stanko.  “Make sure you make upkeep part of your conversation with your colorist.”

Mostly Bs: Strawberry Red. Get fiery this fall by adding a little crimson color to your hair. This light red shade tends to look best on those with naturally blond or light brown hair and a fairer skin tone. Make a splash this season by trying a soft red shade. Remember, keeping your tresses a radiant red takes a little elbow grease, so be sure to freshen up your color every month or so.

Mostly Cs: Chocolate Brown. This dark shade delivers a chic, sophisticated look for the fall. Brown looks best when it’s fresh and shiny, so avoid fading and dullness.  Also, if you want to add a little dimension, try a subtle ombré with honey or chestnut colors. “I have been changing many of my clients’ hair to a deep base color, then gradually getting lighter toward the end of the hair,” says Stanko.

Mostly Ds: Colorful Ombré. You are an absolute risk-taker when it comes to your hair and this season’s updated prismatic ombré is the perfect look for you! Whether it’s pastel pinks and purples or deep teals and blues, no color is too wild for you! “Over the past year, platinum blondes have morphed from bold colors fading into pastels,” says Stanko. “Regardless of the baseline, the technique is a variation of an ombré look. Redken’s new Blur technique creates this exact look by blurring two shades together with the exclusive Blur Brush. The tool seamlessly creates a third color, which is a natural blend of the original two. The result is subtle, sexy color that adds incredible dimension to your ’do.”
